Why Pre School
As per the latest research in the field of Early Childhood Education, the early years that are 0-6 are the most important in a child’s life because maximum brain development happens in this time since the child’s mind is an absorbent one in this age. A child is an end product of nature and nurture where nature means genes which come from parents and nurture means the environment in which the child is growing and developing. And this environment needs to be aptly stimulating for the holistic development of the child which might not be possible in a home environment but at Preschool this is completely possible because:
- A preschool is a designed and a structured environment which caters to all the needs of young children thereby providing the children routine and structure which gives children a sense of security and belongingness.
- A preschool is a great connecting link between home which is a cocoon and formal school which ensures smooth transition of children on their journey of lifelong learning and evolution.
- A preschool is a beautiful platform which helps young children become independent, confident and build on their self esteem, because it is here that the children begin to take care of themselves and their belongings.
- A preschool’s curriculum is well researched and programmed in such a way that it takes care of the overall development of children. The designed activities take care of the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language and spiritual development in children.
- A preschool lays the basic learning pathways from which all the later learning happens as the children experience life from one stage of development to the other.
- Environment, interaction and activities at Preschool are an opportunity for young children to think, explore, become curious, problem solve, reason and learn about the world around them.
- A preschool provides a platform for children to broaden their social circle as they get to interact with many significant adults other than their parents and other children of their age.
- Curriculum at preschool prepares the children for Kindergarten.
- Apart from Intelligence Quotient children at preschool also get an opportunity to build on their EQ emotional quotient by understanding their own feelings and those of others and how to deal with both of them.
- At preschool children are allowed freedom to be themselves and learn at their own pace.
